I had my 82 k-jet smogged about a week ago and I just barely failed NOx at 15 mph (1169 read, 1125 max allowable).

I dumped some "guaranteed to pass" in and ran through a tank. I also followed some other advice I found on brickboard to plug the vacuum line running to the ignition control module (chrysler ignition). I retested the car and it shot up to 2574 ppm NOx at 15 mph! What gives? The cat is only 1 1/2 years old!
