240 wiper motors stop in upright positon 200

Hello,
My wiper motors stop in the upright positon, rather than down. So now I am driving with windshield wipers on the windshield partially obstructing my view: not so great.

The wipers used to stop midway in a diagonal position, now they stop at the top of the sweep.

They work allright, just stop in the wrong place.

So, any thoughts on what the problem might be, how i can fix it, where i can get the parts to fix it, or how much i can expect to pay a mechanic?
