Bad U-Joints?? 200 1987

I am trying to diagonse bad U-joints, I have several symtoms and want to be sure. At low speeds, there is a squeak coming from the rear part of the drive shaft. And the other day when I was accelerating I heard a large clunk noise. It only happened one time but made me very nurvous. I relpaced rear trailing arm bushings recently and other bushings are Okay. Is there something else that would cause this kind of clunk. I am very suspicious especially because of the squeak I am hearing. What can I look for visually to inspect the U-joints?
TIA
