Changing stock lower mount radio to a cd player in a 1984 244GL 200 1984

A friend of mine recently bought himself a 1984 244GL. He wants me to install a cd player and new speakers throughout. Im not worried about the wiring or installing the speakers, my only concern is the shape of the volvo dash. I have plenty of experience with other vehicles. Does anyone have any advice/how-to info on how i should tackle this one? Also if he wants me to move it to the upper mount position, how difficult will that be, i will be running all new speaker wires throughout, so that is not an issue.
