122 stalls after highway rpm 120-130

Hey all -- I have a 122 that stalls after highway RPM (3-4k). The problem has gotten progressively worse since I put headers on the car a year ago.

Thinking it was advanced timing at high rpm that wasn't regulated by the distributor when I slowed, I recently installed a rebuilt distributor. I also, of course set the gap, and I installed new plugs and balanced the carbs.

Is it:
that I need a richer needle in my carbs because of the increased flow with the headers?
that my timing should be advanced just a little more to compensate for hwy/idle rpm shifts?
that ....

Thanks!

PS. I talked to the guys at IPD. Shane had a similar problem that was remedied with the new distributor.
