My Transmission Fluid pan won't come off! (960 AW30-40)

It looks like someone used some sort of liquid gasket to seal it to the trans. I wanted to change out the screen and clean the bottom of the pan, but am afraid to damage it and I can't get good leverage. Should I just blow it off and stick with simply replacing the AT fluid?
