Two (!) warped brake rotors...

Hi everyone!

I have a dilemna about my front brakes. For the last week or so my '83 240 has been developping a brake shudder. I can feel it in the steering, so I checked the front brakes and calipers. Both calipers/pads appear to be fine -- they are fairly new pads, and the calipers look to be in good condition. Everything slides nicely, the caliper pistons can be pushed back in easily, etc. But both front rotors appear to be warped. I don't know what "bad" is for warping, but if I push the pads back a little, I can visibly see a wobble when I turn the wheel. Maybe about half a millimeter from side to side.

Infact, I could have guessed that both rotors were warped, since sometimes the shudder would go away (when the wobbles were 180 out of phase, I guess), and sometimes it would be really terrible (when they were exactly in sync, probably).

Neither seems worse than the other. So, the question:
Should I just get new rotors (almost as cheap as resurfacing the old ones), or should I take this in for our volvo specialist to take a look at it for some underlying problem. Perhaps some of the front suspension or steering is loose or bad -- could that cause two rotors to warp? I can't ever tell with the suspension... the car is so old that everthing rattles and wobbles a bit.

Thanks!
Kevin

Oh, and some background: One of the rear caliper pistons was jammed shut a week or two ago, and warped a rear rotor pretty bad -- about 1mm wobble visible. I replaced the caliper, pads, and rotor with a rebuilt napa kit. I also did the front bearings a few months ago, and the tie rods were inspected (and end replaced) within the last few months.
