I've got a D cam and twin SU's in my amazon B18, its great on the open road but its only so-so around town. fuel comsumption is fine, the R cam is really for competition use only and requires suitable carbs/valves/porting etc etc. For regular use finding a B20 is a good idea, however I really like my B18 on the open road because of the way it revs.
