steering rods... 120-130

Hello,
Making progress...the engine and trans are in the car and the wire harness is mostly installed. I'm down to door handles, windows, and seats!

I got the tie rod ends from scantech and they have nylon lock nuts, no castle nuts with cotter pins. The lock nut nylon is so hard that it spins the rod rod ends around instead of screwing on. I thought it was weather related (it was 43 last night and the shop was chilly) so I warmed the lock nuts up a little but still had the same problem. Any suggestions I don't want to dork up something so important. Also I have always been taught to have redundant safety on critical components (ie. cotter pins). How do you all feel about testing your haevy duty sway bars with out cotter pins?

Thanks,
-Erik
