Overdrive saga continues 200

Just want to thank those who replied to my earlier post, after much digging I found the OD relay but unfortunatly for me it wasn't the problem. Contacts were good, I resoldered the PC board and checked the relay on the bench and in the car using a test light with the wheels raised but still intermittant OD action. I inspected the wiring leading down to the transmission right to the side connector on the case and found the white wire cracked up, cut splice and replaced but still intermittant. Grrrr!
I have limited knowlage on the AW transmission, put an Allison E545 in front of me and it's taken care of. Does the OD solinoid get a continous 12V down the white wire and actually engage with another servo inside the transmission sensing govenor pressure or is it predetermined by an accumulator? If there is a controlled solinoid is this prone to failure or plugging such as the old GM200R4's? I also checked the KD cable, pulled on it and everything felt smooth with nominal resistance, shift points and firmness change with throttle. The transmission did hit OD just after the tests and repair of the wire but this morning when cold it didnt work even after a 22 mile trip into work, this is frustrating me to no end!
Hints, ideas HELP?

Thanks again guys
