I know that the type of gearbox oil used in our cars is a controversial subject but the manual calls for 30W non-detergent oil. That's what I've used in mine for the past eleven years with no problems whatsoever. I can't bring myself to use 80-90 gear oil or multi-weight motor oil. I think you might be doing your gearbox some harm by using such a light engine oil as 5W-30. Just my opinion.
