No Oil Level On The Deep Stick 900 1995

Hello and Good Morning to You,
When I check the oil in the morning, Deep stick shows no oil then I start up the engine and let it run for a minute then shut engine, check, oil level OK. I drive for about a half an hour or so, I shut engine, check oil, deep stick dry. I wait few minutes, restart the engine then shut off engine I check deep stick, there is correct level of oil. It seems that there is no correct circulation somewhere along the way. Could it be the Oil pressure Piston and the spring?
