rear windshield trim 120-130

I'm trying to remove my rear windshield trim to prep my 1966 122 for some rust repair and repaint job. Replacing the rubber gasket around the windshield sure wouldn't hurt either. I found removing the trim trickier than I thought. On the VClassics website they gave a step-by-step procedure on how to replace the rubber, but only said to remove the trim "carefully." Anyone have any tips on how to do the chrome trim so it won't be bent and actually go back together nicely?
