PCV clarification 140-160

There are two versions, only one of which uses a PCV valve.

The later version plumbs the oil filler cap to the intake manifold through a restricted orifice, while the oil trap on the block connects to an air cleaner. The flame trap stuffing is in the filler cap.

The earlier version plumbs the oil trap to the intake manifold through a PCV valve, and the filler cap goes to an air cleaner. The flame trap is in the hose fitting on the oil trap.

In either case, of course, sludge in the PCV system is a Bad Thing and must be cleaned out.
