Lately my car has been stammering under load. Last night the fuel pump started kicking opn and off as I was driving down the road. Here come the questions....
I drive an 84 242 FCPgroton confused me a bit as to which fuel pump(s) I would need if I replace them.
RELAYS: I'm told my car has 2 fuel pump relays. I got this information from an ebay auction so I don't know if it was reliable or not. (They claimed the 83-84 240s needed 2 relays) What are the chances this is all I need to do? Car seems to start alright though it takes some loving if cold.
It seems my car has the in-tank and under-car pumps. What am I getting myself into if I decide to change these out on my own? Does one have a tendancy to fail more than the other?
