OK, so it only SOMETIMES doesn't run on that third cylinder... 140-160

Make sure the point gap is a full .016 inch, check the distributor cap for arcing, and perhaps find another plug wire for that cylinder - any spark plug wire will do for checking purposes. Also you may have a tight valve on that cylinder - worth pulling the valve cover to check.
If the ignition checks out, then richen both carbs the same amount. Find the double slotted screws on the body of the carb (one faces forward, on the back carb it faces to the rear - kind of a mirror image of each other). Turn the screws in (clockwise) EXACTLY one full turn. Drive it and see.
Sounds like the oil is doing its job so keep it in there another couple of hundred miles and then change it.
