700 fender side turn signals, how to run the wires? 700 1990

The patient: http://www.threefattigers.com/Projects/Project760/

I've looked and so far I cant figure out how to run the wires, I know the door switch wiring is in the same location but again I dont know how that is routed into the car. I've looked at a few cars with the fender removed, including a 960, they all look pretty much the same under the fender, and still can't see how it is done. I know the V70/850 runs the wires under the fender to the front of the car, but I'm not pulling the fender or drilling holes for the factory clips to do that.

I know others have done the before me so how is it done?
