Auto Detailing Question 900 1996

Have an appearance question.

I am in the process of cleaning up (washing, waxing, etc) our vehicles. Working on my daughter's 1996 960 and have a question. Does anyone have a good way of removing the road grime film from the windshield (and other windows)? Tried the old (heard it 30 years ago) trick of using Coca Cola and it did not help. According to the 'clay bar' info this can be used on glass - has anyone tried this?

FWIW - I am trying four different types of wax - Zymoil, Meguires, Armor All and Nu finish - don't really notice any difference. Anyone have any opinions? Typically wax two times a year here in New Mexico.

Appreciate everyone's input.

Thanks - Ted in Albuquerque
