PV Dash removal 444-544

While I am waiting for another set of Carbs, I have given up on the curent set, it is the perfect time to install the dash I got a few months back in original condition and a really good vinyl pad.
I have disconnected the battery and started to remove the switches, etc.
My question is, do I have to remove the steering wheel to get the dash off?

Any other tips that a first timer wouldn't know about will also be appreciated.
