Transmission leak discovered - some questions 200

I haven't serviced my tranny before so I hope you guys can help me answer a few questions...

Think I've discovered the source of a recently developed tranny leak. Cleaned up the area and it looks like it is leaking from the rear passenger corner of the pan. Outside possibility is that the seal for the cooling line that bolts to the tranny in the same area is leaking. Don't think so, but has anyone heard of this seal leaking?

I believe it is the pan considering one of the rearmost bolts is missing. Does anyone know if these are "special 10mm" bolts? or would any old 10mm bolt from my toolbox work?

Today I'm going to try tightening all the bolts - if needed. Then attack the pan next and replace the gasket if tightening doesn't work.

Then do a flush once I'm satisfied it isn't leaking anymore.

Any suggestions?

Thanks all,
