spark control 140-160

There is another path you can take to do direct ignition/wasted spark with megasquirt. You can use the bits from a Ford EDIS ignition (found at the pick 'n pull on early 90's escorts and others) in conjunction with a megasquirt unit. It even has built in multispark. This way you can get the high resolution of a crank trigger and the coolness of wasted spark. The default EDIS system even comes with 8.5mm shielded wires, stock. The distributor is then relegated to holding the drive gear in position.

The difficult part is mounting the trigger wheel and sensor. A guy named Jeff Till already has this setup running on a B20. My fabrication skills are limited to hacksaws and JB Weld so that is delaying me. JParker said he would take a look at the problem for me (if I can remember to mail him the parts).
