Strut Bellows and Stop Necessary with Bilstien HD Strut? 700

I will be buying and installing Bilstien HD struts and shock on my 1991 745 Turbo. Quick question, are strut bellows and stop necessary if using Bilstein HD strut inserts?

I remember reading on Brickboard a while back that the strut bellows and stop are not necessary with installing the Bilstien HD strut insert but could not find said thread in forum search. I thank you in advance for your help.

PS. I will also be buying and installing SKF upper mount and bearing combo.
