Stuck A/C lever 700 1990

Do not force it. I did and it broke. If this is the same simple type as on my 740 you can remove the trim and a couple of screws and take out the whole thing. I found the white "pin" that holds the vacuum switch had came out and
was blocking the lever from going back. Can only happen when in the very most
left postion. When you get it out look on the right side where all the hoses are connected and you should see the piece I am talking about. Holds the vacuum switch together.
