Instrument panel lens cleaning

YES, it can be done! The clear cover and its frame are attached to the main body of the cluster by very small glue spots on a series of "fins" that run around the circumference of the cluster body. Take a flat screw driver or a butter knife (don't tell the wife)and GENTLY pry the cover frame away from cluster body. Break one "fin" loose at a time. Be very careful not to warp the the clear cover/frame assembly, or the clear plastic ma crack at a corner or one of the holes.

After getting the cover off and doing your repairs, you can reglue the fins with "krazy glue."

I'm two for two with this type of disassembly, but it's a bit nerve wracking. Be very careful not to damage the guage needles when the clear cover is off.

Good luck.
