Plugged fuel retrun line 700 1989

My 89 B230FT seems to have a plugged fuel return line from the FPR,-fuel coming out vac port on FPR-(its new) Blew compressed air thru lines, and at sending unit into tank - ran ok for a day, now its leaking again at vacuum port. Before I remove sending unit at tank, any one have an idea what else I should check? What about the carcoal vapor tank in engine compartment?
When I ran a seperate hose from return line to a gas can (at the fuel rail)got good flow and no leakage. I'm confused!
