Yes. It is the "PNP" switch. Just had to replace mine last week. In addition to telling the ECUs wheather it is in the Park, Neutral Position for starting safety it has the back-up light switch function and also tells the transmission ECU which gear position is selected.

The part is about $100 and it took me about 2.5 hours to change with my car sitting on ramps and jack stands.

On your '93 the exhaust system may be so close that it has to be loosened and moved to replace the switch. On my '96 I had to disconnect and move the transmission oil cooler return line.
