won't start 700

Not sure if you have a balast resistor, but if you do it will be mounted on the inside of the front quarter panel. My 86 740's is on the drivers side right above the battery (about). I would doubt that is your problem. As far as I know your car wouldn't even try to start if that was gone or going. It would have more of a complete start, no start, or shut down of the car while driving it.
Not sure about how the FPR could be affecting things...fuel filter...
I am certain others will have a few ideas for you tomorrow. I am bushed and can't think straight at the moment but i'll ponder your question tomorrow and get back to you if I have anything worthy to offer.
