When I put in my M410 last January in horrible weather, there were a few things I neglected... The main one being, I didn't hook up the overdrive figgering I wouldn't need it for a while. Its a real pain in the ass to get them wires on the 4th gear sensor when the transmission is up in the tunnel. Hook that thing up right the first time even if the weather is bad and its so cold you can't feel your fingers.
As for the clutch... As I've come to learn, the pedal box in a 140 auto does have a hole to accept the bolt for the clutch pedal. But, on a std tranny car, said hole is built up with an extra plate of steel for strenth. Auto cars do not have this, and you need to do something about it. Ideally, add the reinforcement, or use a pedal box from your donor car.
Mine has become cracked. I put a steel plate in there and bolted it down tight today, and it seems to be OK for now. Much better than its been for the last year actually...
In the end, I changed the fluid in the transmission today, got the OD hooked up and it works (I had never tested it, so I'm happy), and fixed the clutch pedal if only temproray.
Off on a ~200 mile round trip to the southern side of Denver this afternoon/tomorrow. We'll see how it holds up...
