Retro re-styling 90's 240 to 70's style questions 200 1987

I still want to redo the front end on my 87 240 sedan to a 70's era look. I double checked and the top header panel in exactly the same, even the part # matches with the one I pulled off an 84. The lower is completely different and are tack welded to the fenders. I have both front fenders from the 84 which are mint as well as the lower panel. The bumper is the same too. I have the quad square lamps and mounting panels too. These will not work with the 87's grill. If I use the single round lamps 75-79(if I ever find any)I could use these.
Before I start taking this apart and trial fitting everything, I need to know a few things.
Question 1. Will the pre-85 fenders work with the 87+up hood?
Question 2. Will the single round lamp bezels work with the 87+up hood?
If I have to find an older hood, it won't line up with the cowl panel. I know there will be a gap between the grill and the lamp bezel. This is where I plan to make a filler panel.
Question 3. Has anyone done this before.
Anyone want to trade parts for an older headlamp or grill setup.

A few of you probably remember me from earlier posts. I still do not like the
look of the 87-93 240 front end - too modern and out of place compared to the rest of the body. Just my opinion, and I want an older car anyway. Am I wasting my time. Should I just trade the car for an older one?
