760 air conditioning blows the fuse 700 1990

I had this happen on the 240, and I found that one of the wires in the compressor harness had its insulation flake off and was grounding out on the engine. You might take a quick peak under the hood, trace the wires back from the compressor and see if there are any spots that have bare wire showing through.
