Ignition Key Broken - No Spare 120-130

FADECII Rules!!

I went the Ron Kwas Solution and have been immensly happy with it. Being a Harley dude I used a harley style key for the ignition. It just happened that the tumbler fit right in the hole. So if I every lose my keys someone will be looking for a Harley to steal rather than an old Vovlo.

Of course my key broke in the parking lot at work. Instead of snapping the key the tumbler broke and I could not extract the key and I could not turn the car OFF. I got peed at the predicimanet and went to work, yeah I pulled the battery cables. If someone really wanted a 62 122 S original then they could have it. Before leaving I got a mechanic on the production line to lend me a file to file down the key tabs. I filed it down and then pulled the armored tumber out. Then I gingerly got the tumbler disassembled. Yep the bakelite came out in pieces. I ened up using a screw driver to manipute what was left.

Push button start the only way to go. Now if only Ron had told me about re-wiring for the starter motor so i wouldn't run the risk of smoking it!
