531 head in a b23 in a 760

hey guys,
i have an 84 760turbo, with a b23ET.
i just bought a '84 244 for $350aud, i found it has a b23E and an early m46 box.
my b230et has the 531 head but the block is cracked, can i run my b23 block and box with the 531 head and turbo??
i think i have the lengthen the shifter linkages on the box to make it fit my 760.
i will be using an after market computer in the car and running direct fire instead of a distributor.
the b23e has a 398 head what does this mean to me??
will rear end interchange between 200 and 700series??
thanks tom.
