Clicking noise coming from trans/driveline 200 1985

Hard to pinpoint- best sorted out on a lift, but my guess is that either a universal joint is on it's way out or the center driveshaft bearing rubber carrier is collapsed or split.
Just replaced one of these on a 367000 mile 245 (really!) and it was no trouble at all. A bit of grease to slide the new rubber support over the bearing and it was on it's way. Make sure to mark driveshaft pieces for proper alignment after- very important.
Ifi t turns out to be a U-joint, I'd say buy a junkyard driveshaft. You'll avoid downtime that way, and can press on a new centerbearing or u-joint for your old one at your convenience, if needed.

Good luck!
