Pics of the restoration as it happens 200

Thanks!

I agree, everyone has said the same thing when you look at the pictures, the car looks amazing, and the original intentions for the job was just a basic refresh of the girl with a new motor and welding of some of the small rust...But, we started peeling the carpets back etc...and found some really unfortunate rust, the floors were toast on the driver side, the seat belt bolt was hanging on to rust and ready to fall out, (not so safe), both rear tubs were toast, and the rust had worked it's way into all the seams, water had been leaking in through the front of the back windows for who knows how long, and had worked it's way behind the back seats into the frame, and was actually rotting the frame, this was a big structural issue. We could have forged ahead and worked to fix all this stuff, but we had this line on a perfectly clean shell, that was being donated to me, for no cost, so the decision was made easy to abandon the Blue shell.
In the end I am going to have a nearly new 81 wagon that will last me for a lone long time...

Cheers
-Phil
