How do I press new bushings into front sway bar link ? 200 1993

Hi: Have a 1993, 240 wagon. 184,000 miles.

I'm putting in new front rubber bushings on all my front suspension componenets.

QUESTION ? On the link rods that connect the control arm to the front sway bar, how do you press in new rubber bushings? These are the ones that connect the control arm to the bottom of the link.

I have the old ones out, however the new bushings and the link itself is concave/convex in design in the center.

When I attempt to press them into the link the leading part of the bushing will not compress enough to pass by the center portion of the link (at this point the inside diameter of the link is now smaller than the OD of the bushing, because of the concave design). The bushing just start to get squished.

It's almost like you have to compress the rubber of the bushing prior to pressing it into the link.

How do I get these bushings pressed in?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
