Speedo drive gear confusion. 120-130 1963

Hello all...
After all the excitement with the new car, the speedo stopped working. Everything is working well except for the gear. This car is a b18 with a M40.
The PO put a "yellow" gear with 16-teeth into the transmission, which chewed the plastic gear almost round. (The gear is from a 144, because I have a m40 from an early 144 here.)
So how many teeth is the real thing suppost to have? I looked into CVI and it says "b18- 18 teeth" hummm...
I called the dealer up, he doesn't know how many teeth things have (part is in the warehouse) But he says that he has a "BLUE" and a "YELLOW" gear.
From what I feel, I think I need a "blue" gear, is that right?

Please lighten me up, I'd love to have the speedo rolling again... (A cool function.)

(Or my last option would be to fit both the gears from the 144 into the rear housing of the 122)
