Poked and cut the wire in the air intake tube - now not running .. 900

Hi, I was replacing the plugs and decided to clean little gauze filters that lead into the hose that comes just after the air filter. I split/cut the wire with my finger when I poked it. The wire is almost impossible to put together again. The car doesn't idle now and missfires terribly, and there is carbon fouling on all the plugs. I don't know why such as tiny wire can stop my smooth motoring. But now, what can I do?
Thanks for replies.
