alternator fixed forgot wires part 2 200 1981

Everything normal now except temp gauge is pinned and there is smoke from under the dash!

The cable to the starter needed insulating, the alternator ground wasn't firm. Got the oil sensor/alt cables right, replaced fuse 8 and 13. Thanks to all.

Where is the temp sensor in the engine, and can I just disable it at the dash? It obviously caused the 8 fuse to go.
