Post Plugged Catalytic; 91 940 Turbo wont even start and run more than a few sec. 900 1991

I ran my 91 Volvo 940 Turbo (IPD Turbo Cam with APC) with a clogged catalytic converter last week and I really put a bad strain on it. Towards the end the engine was in quite some pain and stress and the converter must have been red. I was forced to drive some 120 miles like this on the Turnpike and uphill and the engine was wheezing and bucking near the end. (For the first 50 miles she ran smoothly enough as long as I kept the speed down to 50 and the boost gauge to 0.)

I am waiting for my new hi performance catalytic converter to arrive. Meanwhile, I was curious and I cored out the guts of the old one so that it is hollow. This was just so I could get the car started to work on it and to see if I got a HP increase.

To my utter amazement I cannot get the car to start and run. It does start once in a while and I can keep it running in Park for awhile and then it stalls out. So I guess Fuel and Spark are okay, its just the Computer that’s giving me grief.

I reset the onboard ODBC 1. I pulled a 2-3-2 code off of it, but now its al 1-1-1’s on Pin 2.

What is going on? Why can’t I make my car run? Is it because the cored out Catalytic fools the computer?
