740 wagon: Always spills fuel when filling up 700 1988

Recently, I replaced the in-tank pump, sock filter, and various hose clamps in the fuel sender area.

Since then, nearly every time I fill up, fuel drips out right after the filling station pump shuts off. I get about a shot glass full or more on the ground (just in front of the rear tire). It looks like it's coming from just behind the filler neck (where the gas cap screws in) because it doesn't spill on the paint.

I don't remember this problem happening before, and I think it's the car's fault (not the fuel station) because it happens at nearly every gas station I've tried.

Thanks-

Adam
