OD switch installation 140-160 1972

Per

This is a factory stalk /switch. It looks identical to the directional indicator stalk but mounts to the right side of the steering column.

There is an oblong shaped plate about 1 inch long that the base of the switch is attached to.

The oblong plate has two threaded screw holes at the top and bottom. The plate is unfinished so I doubt it mounts to the outside of the plastic steering column cover. I don't think Volvo would have designed the switch to mount to the plastic anyway...doesn't seem strong enough for this type of switch.

I guess I expected it to mount in a similar fashion as the directional stalk.

How are you doing with your interior search?
