paint job results question

I just got my 88 244 back from the shop. It looks great, and I'm very happy with the results excepts for one thing. In the rain gutter that extends to the down the side of the car near the small side window there is a rubber retangle piece in there that got left in when the car was painted. I guess its a support. Although this is hardly noticeable, I'm concearned that this might caue rust in that area because paint that got stuck to the bottom will force water to stay against the body of the car. Is this something that I should worry about, or is it going to be okay. If this gets fixed... can this part come out easily?
Thanks and happy bricking
