Long cranking time problem solved - Bad Fuel Pressure Regulator 900 1994

Hi all-

Thanks to all who gave advice on solving the long cranking time before starting on my 1994 940 Turbo. It was the fuel pressure regulator. It had a hole in the diaphram and was allowing the fuel pressure in the fuel rail to drain into the intake manifold through the vacuum line. When I took it off, it had gas pooling in the vacuum side of the regulator that I could pour out when I tipped it. And it was hard to diagnose because the car had no driveability problems at all once it would start - just a little black smoke on start-up. Regulator took about 10 minutes to change.

Thanks again.
