Vacuum Diagram 91 740T

This had a replacement motor installed not long before it came to me, I've found two Vac hoses at the rear of the engine connected to fresh air.
Today, I attached the larger one to an inlet port and got some activity on the heater vents, so I think/hope that all is well from the firewall on. I note that I have no 'T' connections etc and I just know its all wrong but can't find anything to compare this setup with. The car runs really well and its just the heater/ac side of things that is the problem.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I must say, I'm a very impressed new member and congratulate the Brickboard and its members, you are an amazing bunch.

Cheers
Ian
