hesitation on my new 88 brick 200

Ray,
I have a 1988 240DL. Mine is begining to hesitate on acceleration when the gas tank has less than 1/4 in it. The lower the fuel level the worse this gets. I assume this is caused by the small rubber take up hose in the fuel sender assembly starting to crack and fail. Thus it runs totally fine with a full tank so I keep it that way. You also might try to clean the throttle body as this does wonders for making the engine run right.
