differences between M40 and M41 tranny (122 swap) 120-130

I have a M41 in my 122. I had a shop shorten the front of the driveshaft and balance it as a unit. I recall 11.5" being the correct figure, but you really need to take flange widths into account. You will also need to do a slight bit of wiring and decide how you want to switch it. No crossmember changes. Speedo gear is in the OD and may need to be replaced to account for different rear end ratios, but seems like a real PITA. I've used a speedo cable from a 160 without the angle drive without problems for several years now. The 160 cable is long enough to be routed through the proper holes.
