Type of power steering fluid? 700

Hi,

Quick question,

I have low power steering fluid, and need to add some. I went to the store, bought Valvoline SynPower synthetic blend Power Steering Fluid with conditioner and stop leak. I have since noticed that everyone here seems to use ATF as power steering fluid. I have "sampled" my current fluid and it seems to be the pink ATF stuff. Should I add the bottle of fluid I bought (I'm sorta hesitant to do this) or stick with the ATF? I'm just concerned about mixing anything or adding something that doesn't really belong despite it's label. Oh, and the Valvoline is almost clear, with NO pinkish hue, so it's definitely not the same sort of fluid as the ATF.

Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks, and Happy Thanksgiving for all you Canadian brick owners out there.
