That's where I put mine, seeing the stock radio was there...

The troubles I had were not too difficult to solve - I needed to drill holes in the existing slot for the small mounting bolts to get into the sides of the new unit.

If you have the same old radio slot as my car, there will be a fair bit of a gap on the sides and top of your new unit. Just make sure you bolt it so it can't slide, and then cut some tin or plastic to cover the gap.

The wiring is the fiddliest bit. If you can't find power or ground, just run your own wires. At least that way you know the condition of the wires and where they're fused.
