Aftermarket radio. I need ideas and experience!! 700 1990

Our stock radio (I do not know the model but AM/FM Cassette) does not display the radio station and will not play the left speakers unless the volume is turned up.

My wife wants a AM/FM CD and I am also considering Satelite radio. I looked at Circuit City but the web page is having problems.

So my question. What would be a good solution?? I do not want to cut wires just get a plug in kit. I do not want to alter the dash. I guess I want a good Plug 'n Play setup.
