Idle speed on 1991 245 200

Volvo Brothers ans Sisters:
I was recently vacationing in Southern New England and had to have some work done on my 1991 245 (coolant temp sensor, throttle body cleaned). When I got the car back it ran well, however the idle speed varies. While in Drive the idle is normal 775-800 rpm. When I put the transmission in Park, the idle remains normal for about 10 seconds and then jumps to 1000-1100 rpm. This has never done this before. Is this normal or is something askew? what is up?

By the way I was most pleased to see the number of 240 cars on the road in Mass and RI.

Yours, John
